why do we fall in love!!!!!!!

this question always screws me up that why people fall in love, what is there in love that one can give away his/her life. what is there in love that makes one to be binded with the person that we love. i also imagine that if there would have not been the feeling of love in us then will we would be able to survive in this world. if we people keep loving others irrespective of cast,races,colour.etc. won't you think that the world would be alternate form of heaven.
