For printer, i suggest you to check the print resolution. The biggest resolution is the best quality. Then, you check the printing speed, for certain resolution. Normally, largest resolution cause slowly, printing speed. You should compare this specification. Then, you should compare the cost for ink.
I'm using Canon PIXMA 3000, it had wireless features, saparate tank ink... and the best features i seek for is, printing to CD...

in my personal experience, the quality of hp printers is a lot better. black ink is crisper and finer, even if you print in draft quality. so between canon and hp, i always go for hp.

It depends what sort of printer you want. A all in one multi-function printer or just a printer.
The best thing is to shop around and see what's the best buy, get some feedback from the sales person/s and then choose.
Also take into consideration if buying ink-injected how much it will cost to buy new ink refills, as some are a lot more expensive than others.

I think hp is a much better brand as they sell tons of printers every year.Hp is the leader of inkjet market and laser printer.Their black ink is really great. The quality is as good as a laser printer!
So hp have more choices and better quality!
