To be honest, I think both should be treated equal, both should learn all the thing. Well i think, family usually make girls learn dis all because, they have to get married one day or move out with some one ele and they wanted them to b happy an dbe prepaired for that time to handle things rite.
i personally think the same for guys. but its old tradition in come cultures that girls have to go dis. they think girls belong to home they are the one who take change or house work. and guys take sharge of outsidee. well now a days things have changed. nothing is like that anymore.

Oh Yeh!
Not necessary to learn all these things at all,
unless a girl accepts herself as a slave of her
husband in the future life.
You instead can opt for higher education and employ
the male servents in the home & in office too.
Your dream can be practical if you can make out
your life
a success.

It's because of a colonial mentality that left at your country. Specifically speaking here in the Philippines, that's how parents are teaching their daughters until late 90's, but things are changed, early year 2000, women are moderately having a slice in the society. They are more aggressive, oftentimes they are the bread-winner of their family as well as their spouse's family. Since then, women shared an equal treatment by the society. Now, doing the dishes, clothes washing, house cleaning are still one of the chores of our women, BUT not a mandatory anymore.

Boys and girls need to be treated equally today because the world is shifting from a male dominated society to an equal or at least equitable one. Inroads are being made slowly. Be patient and be persistant. Don't allow yourselves to be treated as second class citizens, or second class people. In America today, I do not view men and women as substantially different, in fact, I do the cleaning in my house. Maybe that's why it's such a mess! Both boys and girls need to learn how to run a home and how to run a business as well.

coz we GIRLS are responsible in doing those things... it's our tasks before ancient years... I'm from part of asia, too (philippines) in our culture (i dunno if we're same)... a typical chores that women do here is household chores (cleaning, washing the dishes/clothes etc.) and women are supposed to stay at home for that matter.. (if ever she doesn't have a career/work) like for example our helper is a girl..it's given already... i grow up in that king of thing...:D we have nothing to do about it! and it's like soory for us...lols :) til then
