Conversion

I was raised Roman Catholic. But now that I'm an adult, married and have children of my own, I've converted over to Judism. My mother hasn't let me forget about my childhood. Everytime she can, she take the opprotunity to send me emails on this Catholic person, saint or holy day/feast day. I've asked her kindly to stop sending me them. A couple times, I've sent her articles and findings of my faith (which is ultimately, Jesus's faith as well) and she's asked me to stop sending them. I've respected her wishes; why can't she respect mine?

Maybe she just doesn't understand why you converted? Try talking to her about it and, hopefully, she'd understand. Of course, there is also the possibility that she might be a closed Christian...no offense.

Your mom should respect what is in the bible and that is that a child leaves the house of his parents and clings to her spouse. Basically i think your mom is afraid of losing you and she has no other way of expressing herself than by sending you these emails. Maybe you should talk to her about what is really bothering her? It might have nothing to do with your conversion.
