yes it is quite true, some people are really not concerned and doenst have even a small knowledge about the deterioration our earth is facing, they think it is not a part of their duty and behaves irresponsibly and for others its too late to act now, however they forget that a small step is a giant leap

The autonomic reaction of the body to expel excess mucus is a design of nature to assist the body in preventing unwanted "reserves" of mucoid matter that provide prime growing ground for disease-causing bacteria - and that is a very good thing; and if more people would realize that "sucking it up an swallowing instead of getting rid of it" is one of the worst things one can do, then the healthier many would be.
I am far more disgusted when I see/hear some poor fool trying to clear the excess mucus from their pharyngeal tract - who then "swallows" what the body is trying to get rid so as to defend itself - than I am by someone allowing this natural defense system of the body to function as nature intended.
That said, it must also be understood - and this is confusing since so many people comment on it with barely disguised glee that it would seem they should understand already - is the social makeup of China. The number of rural residents that are moving into the cities or who have only been in urban areas for a time and who gravitate towards others especially from the rural area from where they stem - has been, and still is, seemingly infinite fodder for those wishing to find *ANYTHING* with which they can levy insult on China as a nation and the people.
Growing up in a rural area where there are no self-righteous, self-important pr*cks around to ooh and aah if they see someone hocking a loogie into the ditch on the side of the road, is not the same as growing up in the urban centers. When one is just trucking along a country road and the body says "hock a green one" - well, one just hocks a green one and continues on their way.
It is the "where, when, and how" that needs to be worked on - the act of expelling that which the body instinctively knows is damaging is a good and healthy thing and is far more of a "plus" than a negative.
