being good with numbers is a good place to start....being able to do bookkeeping (not all accountants DO bookkeeping though but it'd be a bonus skill to have)...being able to analyize, report and correcting if needed any finacial paperwork, being up to date on current tax laws, beign able to do tax reports/file tax papers etc..being able to prepare finacial reports...the list goes on and on...My brother is an accountant and he handles numerous types of things for ppl....
