I've just read a magazine at my sisters house, and there were two stories that really shocked me the first was about the conjoined twins that shared the same bady and had two heads! (how mad is that) it seemed unreal that they survived like that and lead a very happy life, its like the kind of stuff you expect to see in a sci fi movie! The other story was about a woman who has no legs (she describes herself like a barbie doll with the legs removed, her words not mine) she wheels around on a skate board and is happily in a relationship, and she has two children which she concieved! i was like wow it seemed so crazy! anyway i was just thinking with the wonders of medical science these days more and more people are surviving being born with defects (which is great).I have to be honest tho if someone passed me in the supermarket with two heads or wheeled past me on a skate board with no legs i would probably find myself starring a little (not in a bad way tho), It makes me think how amazing doctors are and i deffinatly think they don't get paid enough..i mean they save lives!! look how much footballers get paid to kick a ball it outragous!

I used to sail with a chap born with one arm missing, just a sort of minature hand growing straight out of his shoulder.
But boy, was he a good sailor!! His teeth took the place of his missing hand and he had massivly developed jaw muscles.
The other thing I've noticed with people with bits missing is they normally have a great sense of humour. We did have some laughs together!

Those are amazing stories. Makes me inspired that even if people look the way they do, they are happy and living normal lives. Makes me feel better about my not so good life right now. We have so much to be thankful for, us normal people.
