The other day a friend asked me "Blind, deaf or mute--what disability would you be able to live with?" After I got over the shock of such a harsh question, I got to thinking. What would be the one to cause me the least trouble? I couldn't deal with being blind because I am scared of the dark, so it was unstantly between being deaf or mute. I ultimatly chose mute, for various reasons. What would you pick?

I agree with you. My fear is fire. I can't imagine not hearing a smoke alarm going off or being able to see to get out of a burning building. If I'm mute and I need to scream for help, I wouldn't beable to but I could find something to make noise with.

It would have to be mute without hesitation. I couldn't handle not seeing or hearing but many people would be grateful if I lost voice!! lol .. But seriously none of the choices are attractive and people who handle their differences are to be admired me thinks!!
