A few of my Friends wanted to read Gissi's story and I promised that once I had put it on my Blog I would post it so here it is
But please if there is a new Member looking at this and is NOT INTERESTED, then please do not come on here insulting me just to earn some money, like I have just had in one of my Discussion then go away, as this is for my Friends and People who care. Thank you
I am sorry if I sound harsh but I am not here to be insulted, and also those kind of People have scared away some of my Friends.
Anyway anyone who wants to read it here it is I hope you enjoy.

That's a sad story, of course I had a few tears, you know what a softy I am, lol.
How lovely of you to share this with us all. Gizzi is lovely and you made a good decision with him.
My newty-dog was sanctaried too. it's hard for them to trust when they've been hurt, just like the rest of us, but as soon as our eyes met we both knew.

Gabs that is such a sad story. I have loved and lost several loved ones, and the hardest were my pets, but I have also found that I will get another. There are so many animals that need love and yes their lives may be short or long but as long as they are cared for and loved they lead happy lives. It not only fills a need in their lives but in mine too.

Oh gabs, that's a wonderful story. I was moved to tears while reading it. I am also thinking of getting another dog and whereas I was waiting to see a good breed going cheap, your story has prompted me to visit the kennels and look for one there. Yours looks so sweet and cute, I don't blame you for falling in love with him. I was almost finished reading your story when my phone rang. It was my daughter (bittybiddy) and I was telling her about it. She sends her best regards and is looking forward to returning to myLot after her exams. I have sent her the link to your story so that she too can read it.

Awwww Gabs, Gissy's story is more touching than even the video you showed. I think that little 'monkey' is glad he found you, and that you were meant to give him his life back, which you seem to have done so very well.
I hope too that you and he have lots of happy years together.
Brightest Blessings. x

Darkwing thank you and yes he is a lovely little Fellow I just do not understand how anyone was able to hurt him I feel guilty when I just tell him of, but at times he is impossible to tell of as he answers back lol and I just have to laugh at him and then his eyes turn mischivious lol and believe me they do and then the Mischief happens lol.

I agree. I don't know how anybody can hurt any animal at all. Why have a dog if you're going to treat it that way.
Gissy knew you were the one for him, or he wouldn't have come to you, when he trusted nobody else. You deserve credit for that Gabs, and the mischief must be great, as it shows he's happy and he trusts you.

Thank you Gabs, for sharing your story of Gissi with your friends and members that had the time and respect to read this story about the loss of one dog and Gissi, it is dreadful when we lose our pets as they are like children to us but I bet now you love Gissi, and would not part with him.

Gissi's story is so beautiful. And the way you wrote it, I could feel the pain of losing Max (such a handsome guy...I am so sorry for your loss. My 14 year old Meg was just diagnosed with cancer) and the tentativeness and then joy of winning Gissi over. I then went on to read the post from Whiteheather...both posts had me completely in tears (but there was a smile as well). Gissi is such a cutie pie. I especially love the pictures of him sleeping on his back. Give your little man big hugs and smooches for me. And here's more hugs for you hon...you're the best! ((((gabs))))

Thank you so much for sharing Gissi's story with us. I'm very glad that you found each other. It sounds like that little dog needed you just as much as you needed him. I'm a big believer in the therapeutic effect animals have on our lives. Gissi is just one more wonderful example.

Okay so the tears are pouring down my face LOL. What a story! Just wow!
I felt the pain you felt as you lost your dog Max, I held my breath with you as Gissi started to move towards you in his cage for the first time. I felt his fright as he shrank away from your son and when he snarled at him and his friends the night they had a drink.
You done good! Sounds like Gissi and you were destined to meet and the way you told your story has touched me deeply. Your way with words is just fabulous.
Thank you for making me laugh cry and smile all at once lol.

Hello gabs,
I was moved by Giss's story. And you really are a genuinely nice person as you were so moved by the sad plight of Gissi that you adopted him. And have taken such great care and showered love and it is really nice that you all have bonded so well as family. love heals. Thanks for your lovely post.

This is such a heartwarming story!! Thanks so much for sharing it with us...not forgetting that the song is wonderful too...it matches the 'mood'. i too wanted to get a puppy recently and me and my bf decided to adopt from the spca to share some love with the abandoned pets over there...but we have no luck, most of the dogs there are taken....i hope i am as lucky as you to get a dog like Gissi!

What a wonderful story Gabs,Gissi was meant to be yours.I had a similar experience with one of my dogs (Hunny) she was mistreated and a friend of mine took her off her owners and took her around to another friend of mine intending for her to take Hunny. The problem was Hunny was terrified of her.She came to me and put her head in my lap and that was it,end of story I fell in love with her and demanded that I take her home.Unfortunately Hunny was taken from my back yard about 4 months ago and I didn't find out until recently that an ex boyfriend of Sara's took him to "get her back".I hope you have years of happiness with your lovely Gissi, she is sooooo cute!

It's ok Gabs as far as I know she hasn't been harmed, he has given her to a friend.Apparently she isn't anywhere near where I am so my chances of finding her are slim to none.I still hope that one day she will come home though.

That was a wonderful story and I am so glad Gissi now has a loving home where he feels safe. I am such a softy animal lover and I just know when my last one passes I will not have another one for some time. I have always had animals, mostly dogs. Mine is now 15 and she is the ruler of the house. I am wanting some time for myslef without the care of another animal for some time. All my friends tell me there is no way I will last even a month without an animal, they be right. I have a hard time going to get an animal because I always want them all too. I am so happy for you and Gissi.

Adorable Gabs. No wonder you wanted that particular dog. How could you pass by? The main thing, Gabs, is that Gissi is so intelligent: she picked YOU! A choice neither of you will regret.
Thanks for sharing your story.

Why would anyone insult you over the story you have just told. Those are heartless people. It was a sad thing that you went through. Pets are part of our families and to see one of our four legged friends in pain and nothing that you can do about it tears your heart out. Our four legged family members go through all kind of things with us. They see us through our sad times, hard times, the laughter we share is shared with these loving family members. They don't turn their back on us. They would go to the end of the world and back if we wanted them to. There were tears going down my cheeks as I read your story. But be thankful you and your new family member found each other. He could tell that you would love him and that is why he came to you when he would go to no one else. There was a connection and both of you felt it. Trust is a beautiful thing and that is something else obviously he felt. I am happy for you. The pictures of Gissi are beautiful and that is a happy and contented friend of yours. Thank you for sharing your story.

Sunshinelady thank you so much for this and yes I have been targeted now by a nasty Member who seems to see it fit to insult me and be nasty that is why I wrote this, as this Story is true and means a lot to me and I do not want it spoilt, the Memories that I have of that day by someone who is just being nasty.
Yes I think Gissi did feel it I am not sure but he is loved and loves the whole Family and Friends now. But like my Daughter says he is still Mummies Boy and always will be lol.
