Does anyone know any "GREAT" anime involving ninjas or samurais?

Aside from naruto or rorouni kenshin, what other "GREAT" animes out there which involves ninjas or samurais? I emphasize on the word great. One which has cool fight scenes and nice drawings. hehe. Do any of you know any?

samurai 7 is a very cool anime/manga series, but It envoles more of the samurai then ninja aspect. Naruto is the only one that I know that is specificlly centered on Ninjitsu. Even though it is fantasized alot!

try samurai deeper kyo. its a samurai anime and its still kinda cool. but samurai x is still the best. flame of recca i think is a ninja anime because recca is a hokage ninja.

I have it but have never seen it before, I have read that Basilisk is a great anime with a good story. It talks about 2 ninjas who felt in love, but they were from different clans in war with each other... I can't tell much more because I've never seen it like I said. I've heard about Ninja Scroll but I've only watched the 1st episode and it have lots of violence. It should be good if you like that genre of anime.

Maybe I can recommend BLEACH. Well, it's not pure samurai type because it includes some kinda spirit, soul, ghost and superpower. Anyway, I think you'll like it.

hi! naruto's the best! hehe..try samurai champloo, drawing's great..and fight scenes too. heard of ninja scroll? it's kinda violent though.. :)

haha. I tried looking for torrents of samurai champloo but the episodes seem incomplete in torrentspy.com and just a few or no seeders at all. I looked for it at baka-updates and its only available in dvd. Do you know where I can download it? same goes for ninja scroll.. hehe. tnx

hmm.. the story of the anime "Flame of Recca" are in some ways involving ninjas .. well, its not the main focus of the story but "flame of Recca" do have a very interesting story but the series is kinda short and im not satisfied with its ending !!!!!!!!!!
