Recently I met with a Road Traffic accident and suffered injury on forehead. It was about 9.15 pm and I was walking along on extreme end of the road as there was no demarcation for footpath and the road. I received a missed call from my home and I was trying to call back on my mobile. There was Electricity cable protruding outwards and I tripped on it, lost balance and about to fall on the road before which a speedy two wheeler hit me and I suffered injury on my forehead. Public gathered and I noticed severe bleeding on the forehead. For a split of a second thought of noting down the registration No. of the two wheeler and empathical thought came to my mind and abstained from it as it was not his fault. Anybody in his position could have landed in the same situation.
People tried to take me to the hospital but no auto stopped. I asked someone to give a handkerchief and tied on the wound to arrest further bleeding. As bleeding controlled I told that I would go as I had parked my car nearby. Someone came forward and offered to drive my cand and said he was a driver by profession. Thanks to him. I inturn offered him that I would arrange to drop him at a nearby point. I called my home and informed about the mishap and asked them to come to the hospital. There was a 7 cm cut and the doctor put 13 stiches.
When a man walking can suffer head injury, imagine the fate of the twowheeler rider without helmet.
