An asteroid may come uncomfortably close to Earth in 2036 and the United Nations should assume responsibility for a space mission to deflect it, a group of astronauts, engineers and scientists have said.... post your comments

It will hit us even sooner. So that the human race would concentrate on saving itself instead of killing ourselves.

Until 2036 the asteroid will be only dust or will be deviated and will not hit earth.

Are they going to send Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck, along with a rowdy crew of eccentric oil-rig specialists to detonate a nuclear device deep within the core of the asteroid? I think this would be the best plan of action, but only if they leave it right until the last moment in order to build the tension.
