Started to learn chinese

I started to learn chinese language and it's kind hard for me as an european but I still want to learn it. the most dificult thing for me is too be "master" of the 4 tones and to remember the words because i can't make connection between the sound and the onject. What kind of language is used in CHina, the mandarin one? And how is it the Chinese grammar? I'd like to talk with a chinese on the messenger to put more wuestions, if somebody interested put here the YMessenger id..thanks
