With the World Cup around the corner and the top eight teams gunning to lift the most coveted trophy in the West Indies, there is good news for Indian skipper Rahul Dravid. Statistics show that the 'Wall' is India's most successful One-day captain among all those who have captained India in at least 20 matches, post your comments.....

Yes. He is a wonderful captain. But not to forget that Ganguly brought us back in action during the last worldcup after badly losing the series against NZ. He has the ability to lead the team.

well i would say it was rahul dravids effort in the time of gangulys captaincy which made india come up, remember how rock solid rahul stood for the team then..... ganguly is a selfish player and how can he become a good captain when he is not a good person.... think again

Hi, this man is so quiet in his performance that it needs people like you to come out with statistics to prove that he is the best at the moment. I think he can become a better captain than Ganguly because he never stares or shouts at his team mates, however junior they may be. He just walks up to them, talk, advise and sets the field to minimise the damage. In contrast, we have seen ganguly often loosing his cool under tough situations, which is a give away to the opponents. I think he has better adjusted to the burden and expectations of captaincy while maintaining his batting form simultaneously. I think he is more open, friendly, easy to communicate with, amenable to suggestions, easygoing with fresh players and above all, command respect purely based on his on field performance and impeccable behaviour. I can confidently say that he is the primary reason for all the players being in form now. Above all, he and chappel share a great relationship which is very crucial at this stage. He is truly the gentleman cricketer of our lifetime. Thanks.

U r right Vinay. this report has published in todays TOI. Its really great to know that Dravid has best success rate as a captain. Again, this success rate is against good teams of the world. Leave zimbabwe, bangladesh, kenya, netherlands. Thats a great achievement in itsellf as a captain. ganguly has done well for india. But he has won major matched against teams like zimbabwe, kenya, bangladesg and netherlands. So comparing Dravid is better than Ganguly in all respects. Dravid is aggressive but he does not show aggresiveness in his body language. He is aggressive in mind and in thinking. It is pity that ppeople hav still not realized the capabilities and potential of Dravid. But it is for sure that by the time his career will be over he will be one of the greatest captains india has ever produced , much greater than Ganguly. All he needs is a one world cup under his belt and he will be on eight heaven.
