Well I guess it depends on your religion. Jewish people celebrate Saturday, Muslims Friday and Christians Sunday. I guess it started when people decided on which day to count to the seventh day.

Some would say, "Depends on your religion: Christian or Jewish." But Jesus was a Jew and he followed the teachings of the Torah to the T. With that in mind, let's look at the bible in Exodus 20 where the commandments are written down. It says, "Remember the Sabbath day..." -REMEMBER-...why would it be written like that? Because G-d knew that one day man would forget that G-d rested on the 7th day. Look in Genesis where it says that G-d blessed the 7th day and made it holy. He didn't do that to any of the other days, even though they were good as well. Saturday is the true Sabbath day. Sunday is from the pagan world.

It is the day you elect to rest....sometimes / some religions it is Sunday, others interpret it to really be the seventh day, or Saturday. Either one works....it is just important to have a day of rest, to meditate, recharge your batteries, so to speak.

The true sabbath is Saturday. The bible is pretty clear about that. The only reason most Christians honor Sunday as the Sabbath is because emporer Constantine changed it to Sunday. He was a pagan and wanted to bring in more pagans and still worship Ra the sun god. Sunday was the day Ra was worshipped. Hope that helps you. I know this because I am a Christian and wanted to know why we worship on Sunday since Jesus celebrated the sabbath on Saturday and the bible doesn't change the day. So I researched.
