Do you judge people by race, hair colour, gender, clothes, piercings, age etc etc etc? Why do you think we as human beings have to pigeon hole people? Does it help us feel more secure in our world or are we trying to figure out the world around us? In so doing this aren't we limiting ourselves and others?
Are you a type ... do you precieve yourself as a type if so which type are you?

It's almost impossible to eacape from stereotyping. Most of it stems from your upbringing. The problem is that eventually you need to step out of your own world which most of us can't because it's a sort of defense mechanism.
I don't know exactly what you mean by seeing yourself as a type. I tend to think that I'm openminded but at the same time confident in what I belief in.

Well if you understand that we all stereotype each other then we each fit into one stereotype .... for example i have blonde hair ... and i'm very outgoing and smile a lot .. so people naturally assume i'm the dumb blonde type and an easy pick up ...or the fact that i wear torn jeans and certain clothes I look artsy ... which in a lot cases i do ... and in other ones I dont ... my son loves to skateboard and snowboard ... he wears and partakes of the language and style of that type .... know what i mean now ...when i ask what type are you or what type do you feel you fit into ?
Most people like to say no i dont fit and i dont play that way ... I'm just me but i have realized everyone sees themself as something or somekind of person ...be it housewife, lawyer, intellecual, business man, skater, goth, rocker, whatever ....

i must say: yes I do. when you see person first time, these stereotypes forms the first impression about a person. it may change during the but first impression is the thing you can't deny.
