I see alot more people here who have a 10 star rating and I think its great! Just goes to show you that we have a great group here on mylot we get postive discussions going with positve feedback. We all know that helping others helps us. Most of my friends have a 10 star rating and I like to help them keep up their star rating by responding to their discussions and rating them positively! I hope they are doing the same for me. I know some are as I had watched my star rating creep up slowly over several days from a 7(when I first reached my 100th post) to a 10 and I hope I can keep it there. I'm having troubles staying active these days though, as I'm not finding many conversations that I can respond to either they don't pertain to me or they are pointless. I hope we can get more discussions going and help everyone keep their star rating up.

Yes, I agree, we need more quality discussions on here, to help everyone. I'm not the type of person who enoys pointless conversations, so I don't even attempt replying to them. Good job with your ten, hopefully we'll all stay up there!

I am very proud of my blue star! Once it dipped back to a red, 9, and I was kinda sad (in a weird way) over it. But the next day, the blue star was back! I, too, am having a hard time finding discussions that are worth the time to respond to. I've noticed that people will put any topic in any area of interest, too. I wonder if you start a discussion within a certain interest, and stay on topic, if you earn more?

Hi madtown, I too have many friends with blue stars! MyLot is a quality discussion site, unlike some others where one just jots a few words and moves on. I am also finding it a bit hard to find quality discussions lately. It seems I have to week through more and more pointless ones to get to a good one! We all need to keep rating people positively when they post those good discussions so that they will keep doing it!

It seems more and more people are just getting bored and starting discussions about any ole thing, some are cute some are dumb. Thanks for the response though.... Have a great day!

What exactly does the star mean anyway? I'm just new to mylot, so is that why I don't have one? Are there a certain number of posts that you have to post before you get a star?

You have to have at least 100 posts to get your star or I think you do thats what I've heard and thats when I got mine. Basically its your reputation level its what others think of your discussions and your comments. The higher the star number the higher your reputation the more money you will bring in per post.

Yes I would say with just reaching 100 posts and you are already a 9, I would say that you are doing very well. Must mean that you have posted and responded to quality discussions. Must also mean that people have liked what you have to say! Good Job I'm sure you will see the 10 in no time!
