A couple of weeks ago we saw the episode where Adama tried to get Gaeta to talk to Baltar and get some information, which nearly ended in Baltar's death at Gaeta's hand. Do you have any thoughts on what Gaeta's secret might be?

I read this discussion yesterday, and STILL haven't been able to think of what he could be hiding. They haven't really dropped any hints about it that I have noticed.
I kind of think Gaeta was planning to kill Baltar when he went to talk to him anyway; whatever Baltar said just set him off a little early. I figured he just wanted to kill him because of all the crap Baltar had done, but maybe it was to keep him quiet?

I theorized last night with my husband that perhaps during the time that Baltar was running the Cylon Detector, he discovered another one of the cylons, but kept it quietly to himself, and maybe that was why he trusted Gaeta on New Caprica. I still have to watch the last episode in season two, so there's so much I'm missing.
I read an article the other day theorzing who the final five were, and they did a list of the top five likely suspects. Gaeta was the #1 suspect and they couldn't think of much evidence to redeem him from being a cylon.
However, after having watched the next to last episode in Season 2 last night, my suspicions about Chief are heightened again, but that's news for another thread, I suppose.

That would be something worth killing for to keep it quiet, all right.

If you go here: http://www.entil2001.com and find his review of The Woman King, it explains in pretty good detail what the situation is with Gaeta's secret, the Saggitarians, and a few other things that suddenly make some confusing things not realy makes sense, but explains why they're confusing, lol. Basically, a major developing plot point was dropped and reworked, leading to some continuity problems in the past few eps.

I did go and read that! Crikey, what a mess they made of it all. I hope they can smooth it out in these last few episodes.
Thanks for that tip!
