i used to use Norton anti-virus, but some viruses still slipped through. i now use avast and it works wonders. i have never had a virus since installing it. it even catches if there's a worm or trojan or parasite

The best paid anti-virus is Kaspersky or NOD32.
The best free antivirus is Active Virus Shield, closely followed by Avira Anti-vir. See http://freewebsoftwarereviews.blogspot.com for details

The antivirus program that works best for me is avast. I used Norton before, but wasn´t happy with it at all.
Concerning antispyware I use Spybot- search and destroy.
Both programs work fine and I can only recommend them.
