can India perform decently in world cup?

Wat u guys feel can India will really preform well in world cup... I doubt about this. Winning a few matches at home is not a great performace...every batsman seem out of form.

I think we have to be realistic here... Its not about performing at home or away ... its plainly about performance... when australia loses to Kiwis ... we say ... we cant take that team easily ... its a great team... when india perform good... we say its nothing ... its easier to perform at home grounds... pressure on Indian team is most exuberating as compared to any other teams... A team with a guys like Sachin, Dravid, Ganguly, Yuvraj i think we stand with fair bit of chance...also the fact that ever so often india has performed best in all the world cups that they have participated in .... we have to leave the year 2006 behind and think in realistic terms In 2006 ... sehwag was out of form, ganguly was not in, Sachin was not in, yuvi was injured, Zaheer was out... its much like the australian team when they went to New Zealand .. I think india has the potential of atleast reaching to the Semi's in the world cup

U r forgetting Pointing, chilchirst, bret lee, m.clark were not part of the team..wen they comes back it makes a loooottt of diff.... I doubt about the form of all indian batsman...playing on indian picthes with srilankan team without VAS and Murlidharan is not great...

Playing Vaas and Murlitharan would not have been that difficult at our pitches... I would like you to refer the cricket history and in 2005 with muralitharan and Vaas in the team ... Srilankans suffered 1-6 series loss as for Ponting, Lee, Symonds, Gilchrist... remember 3 out of these four are Batsmen,,,and just from the scoreboard of 337/4 and 347/5 you can make out that it was not batting that was struggling ... but it was bowling and the fielding that was clearly struggling,,, Australians missed catches,,, they missed runouts... Again I would stick to the point taht India, Srilanka, Southafrica, and NZ all have better chances to win the world cup in 2007

i am optimistic that india will surely reach super eight and also hoping that it would defeat again pakistan in the world cup for sure

as i am an indian i will support india,for sure.but i dont think india can win world cup because both south africa and australlia is in good form!i know newZealand beat ausies but i dont think they can win world cup.according to my opinion south africa will won world cup.finalist may be between india or ausies! best of luck india and sachin.many of my friends thinks sa will won!

i am surprised to listen your opinion that our players are out of form. who? it it Sachin, Rahul, Robin, Ganguly, Kartik, dhoni, yuvraj. is it joke to win home series against W.I., Sri Lanka. please wait till 12th march you will see the indian team how much he performed well and who can resist him.
