What phrase do you live by? What one quote inspires you? Can you sum up yourself in a sentence?
I'm VERY interested to see these - I've thought long and hard about mine, but it needs perfecting.
Go!

"He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose"
-Jim Elliot
It's all about priorities, discerning what's really important in life and living for it, forsaking all the other "shiny" but passing things that may distract us.

I'm a bit of a magpie myself, I find the shiny things hard to pass!
Lovely mantra :) Thanks for responding.

i don't have a quote but what i'll say is that i always strive for balance in life.I'm forever weighing up the two sides and i'm on a neverending quest to bring happiness to myself and others-sometimes my efforts arent rewarded in the best possible sense but at least i know that i've tried. You can never have too much of a good thing, but evil has to exist otherwise what would we compare the good times to?It's all about yin and yang, achieving harmony in one's own and mind and then spreading this around the world.

Probably "treat people the want I want to be treated". That's a phrase we regularly told our kids when they were growing up too - treat people the way you want to be treated. It encompasses so many things - being honest, being nice to people, think before you speak, etc. All those things are rolled up into that one phrase.

i believe in 'sharing the love', if things are going well for me i try to help others who are worse off. even if things aren't going that great, i still have a tendency to share what i have to try to make those close to me a lil happier. sometimes this is to my detriment when i mess up and nobody's there to help me in the same way but i still like to make others feel better, even if i dont get anything back.
