As I look out my window it is an absolutly beautiful day. Clear blue skys, abundent sunshine and 56 degrees! I am looking forward to getting outdoors, cleaning up where old man winter dumped treelimbs into our yard and tore off the door of our barn! All the landscaping, repairs, and dreams are in my head, waiting to be brought to life. What plans do you have for this spring. Cleaning up? New projects? Gardens? Flowerbeds? Sidewalks? Share you plans and maybe we could swap ideas not thought of before! Thanks and have a Happy Spring!

I bought all the stuff for a water fountain about 7 years ago, and it's still packed away. Need to dig that out and do something with it, thanks for reminding me! I prefer black multch for my beds, but whatever you put down, make sure you have a thick weed preventor underneath. I actually used old rubber floormats in some of mine! You can cut them the size you need, and then put your rocks on top! Good luck and thanks for your comment.

Plenty of lawn work to be done, that is for sure. We are also considering putting our house on the market. That will also take a bunch of work.
The fresh air and warmer temperatures of spring can be invigorating, though. Kind of makes you feel energetic. Being out of shape, I will probably burn out too fast.
Have a great day.

Landscaping can make a huge difference when trying to attract potential buyers. I wish you luck in selling your home. I felt so good working outside over the past few days, but I too am feeling to effects of winter time. I have put on some weight but will drop it fast around this place. Lots to do!

Well I have lots of plans but whether I can do them or not is another story. They all cost money and take a lot of back work but I'm hoping to get a lot of things done once it warms up a bit. I want to do some planting and redoing a bit of the yard so it looks better. In the house I want to rip out the kitchen and rearrange it and also redo all the floors. Yeah major money but looking for ways to cut corners and reuse things. Find cheaper ways to do things then the usual ways. Not sure how successful I'll be but I'm hoping.

Oh how I know your delima! Our house was built in 1893 and lord it needs work. My chair here at my desk rolls downhill when I lift my feet cause the flooring is sinking, the roof needs to be replaced and the shower is starting to leak into the living room. One thing at a time~we could never fix this place the way we would like to, but plan on tackling these issues this spring. Good luck with your repairs!

My first plan is to burn some bushes. I have them in a pile. I will also start a vegetable bed. I have to plant some grass in the back. My front yard has beautiful Bermuda Grass which I maintain, but the back is basically red clay and weeds. I am hoping I have some money to pay someone to fix the back yard. I would love a hammock also to relax with a book. I am getting really excited. Its in the 60's here so I will be out soon working on yard.

This is the first year we will have a vegetable garden.
We bought our new home almost 2 years ago but last year was too hectic and we were not ready to break ground on our new garden, but this year we are ready.
We are new at it so we will likely be asking lots of questions here on myLot.

My first garden was only about 6 ft by 5 ft, but man was I proud! Looking back I guess its kinda pityful compared to ours now. Its about 20 ft by 50 ft and a whole lot more work. When I was working (used to run a car crusher) we didn't have time either. Was gone 12 to 14 hours a day. Good luck with yours~keep us posted on how it does!

April will be one year since we moved into our new home. The yard is lacking very sadly in any landscaping at all, as the people we bought the house from had very active boys with 4 wheelers and dirt bikes. Jody the Mom told me she had given up trying to grow anything as her boys just plowed over it with "toys". So this spring I am planning a yard renovation. I would like to make the back yard into a cozy, enclosed private garden. I have been all winter drawing and looking at catalogs.
Its a beautiful morning here also and truly makes me ready to get out there and get dirty.

I wish you all the luck with youir new yard. I know it will be a lot of hard work, but it will be worth it in the end. Your yard is like a blank canvas now and you are the artist! I have been working on this yard for 3 years now~slowly but surely it is coming togeather. We mow 3 1/2 acres of our farm, so I have a huge canvas!

Yes, its getting much nicer here in Canada to, you can tell spring is just around the corner.
First thing this spring to do is clean out the entire house of any clutter or anything. Then out in the "FLOWER BEDS" priming the soil. I also cant wait to get started painting my car and fixing the rust.
Thank god spring is coming I find winter so boring and I always feel so trapped. Cold weather sucks bring summer on!lol

Well, we have over a foot of snow on the ground, so spring is still quite a ways off! I have plans to declutter the house, trim up our landscaping, repaint a couple of rooms, thoroughly clean out the house, fix up or sunroom, and a few other things. I've had similar plans for the last 3 years we've been in this house, but I'm going to try to get it done this year. DS will be old enough to go outside with me and help, and I'm not working, so I'll have available time.
