Water therapy is effective especially if you consume 5 liters of water a day. That's the recommended intake, can you imagine? I can't even consume 3 liters, I think. But I've tried water therapy and it's effective...not to mention that it helps when you want to lose weight as well :)

This always helps me when I have a cold: Except from the food supplements you find in my profile, I take an onion, cut a slice from it and leave it on the table near the bed before going to sleep. Very simple and efficient. I also make a soup with vegetables and garlic. Garlic is a very good helper with other problems too, high blood pressure and so on and it is very good to prevent and stop cough. This can help too, one or two teaspoons of apple vinegar in warm, not hot water - you can add a teaspoon of honey, tastes better and it also helps you stop coughing.

You should add moisture to the air. The way I do this is to put a large pot of water on the stove. Bring the water to a boil and turn the heat down under the pot to keep it simmering. This adds moisture to the air. Just remember to check the level of the water and add more as needed.

Get yourself checked from a qualified Doctor, otherwise it can get worse.

I'm prone to dry cough and I think water therapy works for me but while drinking water I also get some check up from the clinics near in our village and I also take some medicine. I think water therapy alone is not good enough. You can also try camalansi juice with warm water. I think that drink is good for me, you can also try it. I also taking honey with mix of calamansi, this help to lessen the pain and itchy from my throat.
