some this is a idea that is shaminism, or magic and not spiritual, or religous.
What is your opinion on the subject for you, is it spirituality, is it religion or do you consider shaminsim to not be a religion, or is it magic and therefore under the genre of paranormal, or new age?
How do you classify this type of topic, I find for me it fits ALL of those topics, but others may not feel the same, what do you think?

I dont think that Shamanism is a religion but it along with Spirit Guides and Totem Animals are all VERY Spiritual things IMO...I think the reason ppl tend to think of them as possibly paranormal is mainly because once again ppl are highly misinformed about it all which is a shame...I dont really know a great deal about Shamanism but I am very familiar with some and I'm very familiar with Spirit Guides and Animal Totems since both are a part of my life on a regular basis and have been for a few yrs now...

I do agree that Shamanism is a spiritual aspect of earth based nature based religions, I do not see it as a religion in and of it self. This was why I had been surprised to hear it referred to as one. It made me curious as to how others may consider this concept.
I also find that Animal Totems and Spirit Guides should be aspects of spirituality rather than religion, or paranormal, but find that many consider those things which are "angel" or "spirit guides" to be more in keeping with magic and "new age"
It seems if people would label less and try to understand more there could be less confusion, though I can see where shamamism can be an aspect of religion if your religion is something that follows this kind of spiritual path.
Shamanism seems to deal predominately with Native spiritual teachings such as those of Native Americans and the Aboriginis of Australia, or some of the Tribal spiritual beliefs of the African continent.
