Thanks to all the MyLot friends who prayed for Nicole and her surgery at the Shriners Hospital yesterday.
Her surgery went so smooth and so quickly that they actually were astonished themselves at how quickly she was returned to her room! The nurses actually wondered if they had forgotten to take her, that's how quick it went!
She did wonderful. She's home recovering today, just soreness and some swelling but her back is feeling better already. She's even returning to school/work for Friday!
I am thankful for all the prayers. I know God's hand made it simply go so smoothly this time that there was wonderment involved!
Thank you all!

Thanks. I feel truly as though a 300 ton truck has been lifted off me! LOL Needless to say, today I'm taking some serious "chill time".

Wow, I missed it all, what happened?
I am glad your daughter is ok? What was wrong? Sometimes, I just miss things.
Today is Thursday, right, and she had surgery and wants to go back to school/work on Friday - wow, have her take the day off. No point in over doing it.
I had knee surgery and did the samething...but the next day, I was a hurting puppy.

LOL... well it IS no checking but there is contact and you can push against the boards, etc. So no checking doesn't mean no contact.
She did end up going to school today (Friday) and work. She seems to feel fine though and looked great walking upright and straight.

She did it in hockey..I thought women's hockey was no checking!
Ouch...hope she does not get arthritis...she is way to young to have problems like that.

I truly feel as though a million pounds was lifted from my chest. I'm sure it doesn't need to be said but when your child is going through something this tough there is such a strength that you pull out to make them feel comfortable and safe. When it was over and today as I saw her walk out the door to school I truly felt the pressure release as if to say.. ok, now you can crumble! LOL

I'm so happy to hear that everything is OK with Nicole. It's hard enough to be on surgery yourself but to wait for results of your family member is even worse. I'm quite experienced in both situations - my father had three surgeries - but for you it was much more difficult, because it was your child... Such a quick recovery is amazing! May God bless you both and watch over you!

I think no matter what it's tough no matter who's involved if you love them. I'm telling you... this one was amazing in itself from the beginning! I know it had to be the power of the prayer involved. I prayed before.. but didn't have SO many praying with me. I can't say I'm a "religious fanatic" by any means but I am a firm believer. This only makes my belief stronger.

Wow! That just goes to show how you strong and wonderful the power of prayer can be. I am really astonished and happy hearing that her sugery went so smoothly that the nurses themselves could hardly believe it! I was definitely praying for your sister, and i'm so glad that she's feeling a lot better already and can get back to school and work as soon as Friday. That's wonderful! ^_^ Thank you for the update! ^_^

I had to let you all know how wonderful the prayers worked! Honestly, the Shriners Hospital has done so many of these surgeries and have seen it all. When THEY comment on how quickly and easily she went in and out of it all that means something different has happened. I cannot help but believe that God heard so many prayers that he truly made sure this was taken care of on HIS terms! I cannot thank any of you or God enough for it all. Above all I'm a mom and even the smallest of things going wrong run across my mind as my oldest daughter is out of my hands and in the hands of a surgeon and GOD. It's truly been amazing the powers that I saw at work.

Thanks. I agree. While so many love to say how horrible the internet is with all it's bad stuff... some how I think we've helped it be a good thing with issues like this and the power of prayer.
