fire meter in PS2

I have posted this topic about 5 days ago and no one is responding, perhaps I need to clarify this matter. I would like to know how to remove the fire meter that appears on the right side of the screen when you are in Buy or Build mode. It restricts the amount of object I can have in my Sims house and the size of the house itself. When I buy an object or build a wall, a red bar will raise in the Fire Meter. If I buy or build too much and the red bar is full, I'll get lots of fires in my Sim's house. I'm also unable to buy anymore objects if the bar is full. Help please!

I remember you posting this and I went and looked for a cheat or something to help you but I couldn't find anything. I play the game on the computer so I have no idea what you are even referring to. Have you tried asking on the forum on the sims2 website? They are usually pretty good at answering questions. here is the link to the forum, if you haven't already, you probably have to register.... http://bbs.thesims2.ea.com/community/bbs/index.php?pid=Community_bbs

Thanks for the help. Yes, I did tried to ask on that site but no one is replying. Perhaps, there's really no way to remove that. I used to play Sims on my computer but it is now broken. Then one time I saw the cd for The Sims 2 in PS2, knowing that it is the same thing in computer but found out that it's very different. I miss playing Sims in PC:(

As far as I know you can not remove it. You just have to remove things from the house to move it down to buy the things you need to move on to the next stage

Yes I think so too because I can't see any option to remove this. I have also tried to look for answers in The Sims site but can't find one. Anyway, thanks for the reply:)

The Gamecube version is the same. I got a Fire alert thing on my game when I was playing it yesterday. What I do is figure out which objects I want in the house and buy one of each. From what I understand, once you buy one thing, you can buy as many duplicants as you want afterwards. My houses usually have themes in them, so I can have many different rooms for each house lol.
