Ok everyone I have done it again Blonde Moment
I started this Discussion
Well I have just been sent this by a Dear Friend of mine and I wanted to share it with everyone that would like to see it, but please have a box of Tissues near you. Now I know it says America but I would say this is dedicated to all Service Men and Women. Some of you might wonder why I have posted this, well I will tell you I have posted this because it touched me. This is not just about the Army, these words are to Family, Loved ones and Friends. Yes I have gone all sentimental on you all this time round, lol, but I get like that when my Friends send me something as touching as this.
And I forgot to put the Link in so please everyone ignore the other one
I do not believe I did that
Thank you Rainbow.

Oh dear, tears again, how soul ripping is that, it's strange how we can blank it all out most of the time, I cry when they put the deaths on tv and tears are dripping off my chin now. Why can the people who send our loved ones off to fight not realise the damage it causes, not just to the forces but to the peole they are fighting for too.
I'd sell my soul for humans to learn a better way to sort out their problems.

Gabs, bless your tender heart for sending us this link. It was a powerful message and very heartfelt. Bless you, and bless the young men and women so far away, and their families. Thank you for posting this.

Thank you for the tissue warning! That is very sentimental and I immmediately thought of my 5 sons. I feel it is so important to let your loved ones know just how much you do love them. I am forwarding that song to all of my boys. Thank God none of them have to go off to war.

Yes Ally it is and I am grateful to that my Son never joined the Army. One of his Friends had to to Iraq last year and we where worried about him till he came back. I mean I have known the lad 10 years and I was really worried about him.

Thanks for sharing, gabs. I was touched by the images of the soldiers. It´s definately not a good idea to watch something so sad before going to bed, but I´m glad I did anyway.
Please don´t bang your head. You could knock yourself out.
Bless you
Dana

If only! Yes if only you could see what the armed forces see with thier eyes, then you would truly understand the the hurt and torment they go through. Being an ex soldier myself it makes me shed tears for them as well as I write this comment to you gabs. The familes that we destroy by obeying politicians orders has to be stopped and we MUST find a more humane way to solve the worlds problems. Bless you all.

This is beautiful. One thing that seriously bothers me about it, and alot of other war related videos is that they only recognize American soldiers. They are not the only ones over there losing their lives...
I am a Canadian, and I have two cousins so far that are involved over there, and many great Canadian soldiers have fallen among the Americans and others.
Overall, it is a beautiful video, and I'm sapping over it, but let's all take the time to recognize all of the soldiers over there, no matter where they came from, or where they will hopefully return.
Thanks.

There are so many touching stories written about war heroes already... and yet people seem never to get tired of reading them and watching them if ever they get to be produced as movies. It will always sad how events like wars will have to take place. The most outrageous among the recent ones was the vietnam war. I'll have to take a peek yet at flashdemo.net. Bye, and be happy, alright?

Please excuse any typos that may appear in this post. I can barely see the screen and the keys for tears. It's the second time in one day you've made me cry lol. Good going!
Seriously though, this is just heart wrenching. I don't think about it most times but it seems like every time I have to television on they're reporting more and more deaths.
How many more lives have to be lost before they declare this war over?

I listened to it a few times and kept tearing and blowing my nose gently as I went through the posts.
It is so touching. I hate wars because it is the soldiers and their families that suffer. The innocent civilians also suffer.
Thanks for this post, Gabs.

Today has been a real Kleenex day for me. That was very touching and my wish is that we could gradually pull our troops out of Iraq instead of sending more.
