cream cheese frosting

1 3oz. pkg. cream cheese
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups sifted powdered sugar
In a mixer bowl, beat together cream cheese, butter and vanilla till light and fluffy. Gradually add powdered sugar, beating till smooth. Spread over cooled cake, sprinkle with chopoped nuts. Frosts two 8 or 9 inch layers. Cover and store in refrig.
Great on a carrot cake.

I love cream cheese frosting. It is also good on pumpkinor spice cake too.

Oh I put cream cheese on my pumkin bread, I bet the frosting would be extra tasty and I do love it on spice cake...yumm I'm getting hungry here.

Do it on cupcakes or store bought plain sugar cookies and sandwich them.

Okay now you really got me.. absolutely love cream cheese frosting. My favorite is chocolate fudge cake with cream cheese frosting...Now the good thing is I don't have any...and the bad new, I do have cinnimon rolls with cream cheese frosting on them in the kitchen and now am going to eat one.. and it's all your fault...lol Just kidding...well I really am going to eat one..lol

Thanks for this recipe. I love carrot cake and all I was missing was the frosting. Hubby has been away all week. This will be a nice surprise for him to come home to.
