Lesbians Wanted....

My coworker & I have been having a debate all day, and since neither of us is gay, I'd like to get a lesbians opinion. And please don't take offense to this question. We had a lesbian couple come into our office today; one of them looked like a man (as a matter of fact I had to do a triple take). I didn't really see the point in having a lesbian partner that looked like a man (I mean why not just get a man). I think that if I were attracted to women, I would want one that was ultra feminine like me. Am I wrong or naive for thinking that way? If you are a lesbian, is your lover very feminine, or would she rather dress manly? Are you into dressing like one of the boys? And if so, why?

I am surprise they let you post this. I just want to see what everyone has to say. I am not gay, and I say too each it's own. you can't discriminate on the job, because that is a law suite. I have never seen so many gay people that work for the County, I use to work for the County. so let's see how your discussion goes. +

Why wouldn't they let me post it? It's really a legitimate question. I'm just really curious. I'm not gay bashing or anything. Also, I'd NEVER discriminate. I come across all types of people in my line of work (I'm in sales) and quite frankly I don't see black, white, hispanic, gay, straight, etc... all I see is green (money). That and the fact that (not to sound cliche) but I do have plenty of gay friends, all of which are gay men. I just have never had much experience with gay women and was curious to know... that's all.

I'm lesbian and don't really see this question as discrimination. If no one asks questions, everyone will remain ignorant, and therefore more likely to discriminate. I actually started a thread on this basis:

I don't like women that are dressed like men, but I'm a bit butch myself. I guess the thing is, despite dressing like a man, they still aren't men. Some people say that if you're butch, you're more fem in the bedroom. But to me, there aren't clear lines like that. One partner doesn't have to be more masculine and one more feminine.

Thank you for that. I've just always wondered, but never really had the nerve to ask for fear of offending someone. I've checked out your discussion and it was quite informative, and I appreciate your willingness to talk about it. Thanks again!

Well I have a cousin who is a lesbian, she and her friend always look like husband and wife as my cousin is always in outfits which are male dominated with hairs also like male and her partner dresses in feminine way. Well that is their way of living.

Then what is the point of having a woman if she looks like a man?

I do agree that the whole point of being a lesbian is that you fancy women, therefore like womens attributes. However sometimes its just the way that they feel comfortable and they dont want to necessarily be confused with the feminine type.

Lets not get carried away here... lol
There are variations!!!!
Think about the saying, what does a gay look like?
OK some are conspicuous, but most are not. Some lesbians pair off in convenient male/female role pairs, most do not.
Some lesbians hate men, most do not, they just adore women. Just like I do!

well, that's her preference. i mean im not a lesbian but i do respecet people no matter what's there preference or what they look like, a man wearing a womans dress while woman wearing guys dress... hmm silly but that's the way goes. but if you gonna ask me what should i prefer if im a lisbian id rather choose my partner to be descreet so that it wont be too ovious... id rather enjoy that matter than loving a lesbian who looks like a man sorry but i should share
