what will you call this? and what do i do?

If somebody sends you an unsolicitated emails continuosly, you call it spamming, and thank God, you can always take action against that, either you block it using anti-spam softwares or you report the site to authorities concerned. But, what do you call an unrequested phone calls that's almost driving you crazy. There's this perticular guy that calls my house phone almost every 30 minutes from God-knows-what company, trying to sell me mortgage insurance, I have kindly said no, I don't need it, I have dropped calls on tihs guy many times,i have told him to remove my name from there calling list, infact I have done almost everything I could think of to this guy he kept calling. Please, what can I do to stop this guy, is there anyway at all i could stop him apart from changing my house phone number... Ideas needed urgently!!.

Contact your local phone company they will help you file a harassment claim against the company. The next time he calls try to get as much information as you can from him, he will think he is getting a sale then at the end you can say thank you so much for providing me with your information it will help the phone company to file a claim against you.

I think this process really works, because the moment i told the guy i was using his information to lay complaints, he promised he or any of his staffgs will not call my phone number anymore

there are laws in force for such callers bur complaining and getting the police out of their lethary will result in an exercise in futility,leading to more frustration,when caller calls, lift speaker talk to caller ask all sorts of stupid questions,not showing him your frustration but behave natural since he has called put him in a position to disconnect you dont he will get the message that he is just wasting calls and his time, or put machine on answering mode ,dont answer go about your work
