Have you ever lost anything that you was attached to emotionally?
How did you feel at the time?
Did you ever find it again? ........... and if so, how happy and relieved were you?
Or do you have something now, that is precious to you and holds special meaning, that the last thing you want to do is lose it?
How do you think you will feel, if this happened to you?
I have had a couple of near misses with my wedding and engagement rings, recently!
When we got the rings, they fitted nice and snuggly, they felt secure. 11 months ago I weighed an extra 28kg's to what I do now and now my fingers have shrunk quite noticeably.
My rings have become much more looser over time and now they slip off so easily.
The first time it happens was when I was putting some chips into the fryer, as I walked from the kitchen to the living room I panicked when I noticed that one had some off. I dashed into the kitchen, looked in the fryer but didn't see it, I immediately checked the freezer, nothing, then decided to turn out the bag of chips but still no ring. By this point my husband joined in the search for it, he re-checked the fryer and sure enough there it was! Good job I never fried it!
A few days later, it happens again, only this time I was sorting the laundry out, luckily I found it.
There was another time, I really thought one of my rings were gone for sure, I was outdoors this time you see. I was really lucky though, I am glad it was a bitterly cold day because I had been wearing gloves at the time. I was trying to send a text message but kept hitting the send button prematurely because I had my gloves on. I decided to take one off and finish the text message, put the phone back in my pocket and went to put my glove back on. That's when I noticed it had gone! I search the area I had been standing but nothing, then it occurred to me that it maybe in my glove, luckily it was .............. phew!!
I have since had a few more occasions where one has slipped off, these days when I am doing anything using my hands, I will change my rings to a bigger finger ;o) so I don't lose them.
They mean so much to me, I would be devastated if I lost any of them!
Each time I thought I had lost a ring that means something special to me, my heart has pounded and my head has gone into a spin.

I hope you find it soon! Sometimes when we look so hard for something, it ends out being in the most obvious place.
Good luck!

I once lost an earring, just a cheap pair but I did like them .. for ages I searched and hung onto the one left .. but after about 5 years I gave up and threw out the single earring .. only about a couple of months later it turned up when I was clearing out some winter clothes .. it had got caught in a jumper when I took it off !! So don't give up and whatever you do don't throw away the remaining earring !

I think you need to invest in having your rings altered perhaps ..!
Not so many years ago I was very 'protective' of what I called 'sentimental' things .. I'd have gone loopy if someone moved them or even borrowed a book without asking ..
Then one day I went out to have my car serviced .. and came home to utter devastation .. my home had caught fire while I was out and everything was ruined ..
From that day on I haven't had a sentimental bone in my body .. nothing is as important to me as my own life (and at the time my cats lives, who thankfully had not been indoors when the fire started) ...
You see even if you were to lose them, which I fervently hope you wont' .. you'll still have all the wonderful memories because they are safe in your head .. !!

Well my hoouse was broken into quite a few years ago now, and I lost all the jewellery that my Grandmother had left to me. That upset me greatly. I didn't care so much about the other stuff they took, like the TV, and video, and CD player, because that could be replaced through the Insurance, but jewellery, and things of a sentimental value can never be replaced. And - no - nothing was ever found.
