whats the point of referring people?

I have so many people who I have referred and only one of them has been on Mylot since signing up. Do people think that if you don't post, and you don't make discussions, that you will get paid? I think that unless you really want to be involved in mylot, that you shouldn;'t sign up. What do you think?

i think its more a case of when you refer someone they are often too polite to say they are not interested, so instead just dont become active

I think that we need to help encourage our referrals. This will keep them active. I mean we have to do some effort to contact them. After all, it is for our own benefit too - the monthly passive income.

i understand you very well, although i have referred a lot of people and also only one is still active so yeah i think they shouldn't have signed up. i totally agree with you

This seems to be a common thing around here. I haven't even gotten that far. I sent one referral to a friend who writes well and I thought would really love it here. To date, she has not registered. But I also have not had a return email from her in awhile so maybe she's away. I guess I'll stick with her since getting good candidates seems to be difficult and she might be one if she ever does sign up. Hang in there, maybe all of a sudden a couple of your referrals will take root.

I agree, why do hese people bother to sign up and then never participate? I have 4 referals and only one has been active. The one that has been active has only been so in the past week...so it remains to be seen what happens next. I don't put much effort into getting referrals. I suppose it would be good for the money but only if they were active. Oh well what can we do.

I think referrals are like babies. You have to spoonfeed them, teach them how to do it, show that their is a result at the end. Know what I mean? Maybe you could drop them an email or something, send them tips on how to earn maximum income on mylot. That will also remind them that they're still a member. Good luck!

Mylot is one of many sites, and we should spread our time around other interesting sites to broaden our interests on the net I found a very interesting site that I can post my interests on and I get paid for doing that as well. Why not try it and see it is completely free to join as some of my friends are there as well. http://www.hubpages.com/_3ftkj02fo88a5/profile/Deeeky

I have to admit, my ratio isn't so good either. I've referred 12, out of that only five people have posted and only three have more than 100 posts. Only one is over 200. I think it's an odds thing. I don't know ahead of time who will enjoy the site and who won't. But the more people I refer, the better the chances that some of them will hang around.
