What really happened. I don't think that it's the comet theory because if it killed all the plants, then killed herbavors, then carnivors, why is there life today? Everything should be dead and it would be the end of life. I don't know what couldve happened. Seriously, what the hell happened?

The seeds of life is carried in the air around us. This is the reason why eventhough a barren uninhabited island existed fifty years ago, a visit now will give us the sight of an island full of vegetation and vibrating with life. We will not find all of the animals in there nor anyone man unless they have migrated to the island ahead of our coming. The point here is, nature has a way of bringing forth a place to life again if given sufficient time to do so.

i think the comet theory is correct but i dont think it would wipe out everything just enough to make it impossible to find enough food to suvive

What happened is that they simply failed to adapt with the change of the climate - ever played that game evolution? (Well I can't understand that game but the theory is about right.)
Put in another way, cockroaches were alive back when dinosaurs were alive. Why is one here while the other not? It is all a matter of being able to adapt. That's why humans and cockroaches have been "good" neighbors for so long. :P
