Deadbeats!!!

They take away your driver's license because parents will not pay child support -- which greatly effects the child -- until they are personally affected, like not being able to drive anywhere one wants. There are options here: 1) pay the stupid child support. Or, if you really can't, go to court and explain why you can't, don't just ignore the requirement to pay. I notice taking the driver's license got your attention when nothing else apparently did.

I'm all for paying child support, but this sounds strange to me. I could understand if they had the money deducted from your paycheck, reposessed something, etc if you did not pay. But taking your drivers licence away? How is that related to child support. really does not make any sense to me. It's about as stupid as saying you get an F on your math-exam if you jay-walk.

I too think that it suck's. But it is the way they handle it. See I think that for the Mothers and Father's who with hold there children something should be done to them to. There are alot of screwed up laws concerning child support custody visitation, and etc. If it is fair to take away someone's drivers license for not paying childsupport then it should be fair the the custodial parent who receives the child support has to account for how she spends the money on the children. And if the custodial parent who receives child support be thrown in jail if she doesnt allow visitaion, phone calls etc. with the children and the non custodial parent. But unfortunately the laws were written to support custodial parent's and not the non custodial parents so theres nothing we can do but B////. I pay child support and have never been behind, I havent seen my child in 4 years and just a year ago was allowed to talk to him on the phone. The person that didnt allow this was the other parent.
