Sometimes we feel bad, seriouslly dull. but most of the times we don't know that "WHY?". It may be caused by some dipression or anything else,,, about which you were not really aware. At this time when you can't make your mind ready to be happy in any way, just close your eyes, & think of those things that you LIKE THE MOST, think of that place where you usually find the PEACE, try to feel the moments that you really LOVE to 'CUD'.... Don't ever think that what you don't have, but think of what you possess.

Yes, it is better to try and overcome your depression. If you dwell on it it will not get better but worse. If you try to overcome and can't that would be a time to ask for assistance from a doctor. There is help out there if you need it.

i agree with sunshinelady. there's a certain degree of depression. and we should admit it that there are times when someone really gets to a point when he/she needs advice and help from a professional - mostly, doctors. but they are just to embarrassed to go to a psycologist/psychometrician/psychiatrist. i mean, there's nothing wrong with getting help from others. for as long as they can keep you right on track, then, one should always be open to such possibilities.

YOu are right. That is how one has to take the life, instead of worrying all the time on something or the other. But there should be constant efforts towards solving the problems. Problems should be treated as part of the work.

depression is a part of our lives. we get upset when something wrong comes along the way. the good thing is, we think about it hard, try to find where we did wrong, and learn from it. it's never easy to get over a depressing situation. but we always try to move on. and after moving on, we should not stop expecting more ups and downs to come our way. there will be lots and lots more. however, we should be strong to face them all. yep. you are right hi_gourab.

Different personalities react differently to depression. We all have periods of feeling down or mild depression, but some people are more likely to dwell on things and sink deeper into depression while others will rise above it. Optimists - "glass half full" people - will usually come out of the slump more easily than "glass half empty" people - pessismists. I have always been a glass half full sort of person and tend to come out of the low slumps quickly and no matter how badly I feel, I will usually not let on. Positive thinking really helps.

I've had a lot of experience in dealing with depression and with people around me that have dealt with it. One of the biggest things was to take a step back and look at your situation without being emotional about it. Yeah, your situation sucks, but imagine at how much worse it could have been. It seems like a harsh way of putting it, but when I finally gave in and took the advice, it worked wonders.
No matter how stressed you might be, you have to realize that it's not the end of the world. Things get better, and there's always another day.
