Can anyone explain why she behaved that way?

I was a student in college pursuing higher education, i was very friendly with guys and hang around with them.I don't talk to gals as i feel shy talking to them, after one academic year of my college, one gal in my class started teasing me with nick name together with other gals, but i used to ignore her, but she started doing it frequently though i never objected or approved her behavior,but then she started writing my name on the tables and i even heard it was also written on the gals washroom door when one guy went in by mistake, he tld me tht they wrote 'I LOV with my nickname' then slowly she tried to talk but i ignored . At last she complained me before my friends tht i am following her and trying to talk to her on phone which i never did. I really hated her for this and never looked at her after that . please tell me why she behaved that way though i never tried to talk to her anytime?
