Which government agency had you had your worst experience making business with? I just notice very long lines of people in almost every agency. I had a pretty bad experience with the NBI lately where I'd get my travel clearance. I've been like standing for half an hour waiting for my turn but it seemed like we're not moving at all. All the while these officials were just nonchalantly talking to each other. And not to mention those fixers who conduct business with them directly not minding the people lining up way before them. I was just so furious that I went home empty-handed.

one of the worst institution here is the PNP headquarters in united nation avenue.i go there everytime my police clearance expires and i have to renew it.so the fee is 20 pesos and if you in hurry, you could have it for 75 bucks. why is that they charged us 75 bucks if they can possibly give it anyway for 20 bucks in the same day???i reported these things to media, but they seem blind to the issue.

Yes, there are so many people at the NBI. There are so many people also at the DFA where we get passports. And there are so many people also at the NSO where we get birth certificates. There are so many people everywhere. But as we go on, I think there are improvements. The worst I heard is the Post Office. They open the envelopes and packages and get the checks, etc. This happened to my sister, she did not receive her check and it was encashed by somebody else. Up to now, she has not recovered the $100 from the sale of her books.

Yeah experienced the same one with you. My friend had a worser experience I think, he got at least to file his application (after waiting half a day) and then sent back again because they said he had a case filed against him and need to double check (or so to speak, some jerk has the same name as his) but to his amazement, how would this official know this when she did not even bother to open the database to check. Wow its some kind of magic don't you think? LOL

i havent tried getting my clearance yet from the nbi but i guess yes everytime i go there i see these long lines and fixers preying on people but from my friends experience he told me that it was quick and he did not even have to put up grease money but yes i have heard a lot of bad experiences from other people sometimes you would think if its better to transact thru a fixer to make life easier

Sad reality! these things are really happening in our government today and should not be the case... I have had the same experience with you when I went to SSS to do some business regarding my leave benefits when I got sick and hospitalized... business transactions there seemed to move slowly, I even went there like as early as 7:00AM so by the time they open their office at 8, am already near the counter..but it didn't work and took me after lunch to finish the whole thing. And yeah, NBI people are also terrible, and to my dismay seeing a very long line going to the counter, I did get a fixer a paid a few hundreds... I hate doing it but I wanna speed things up coz I was in a hurry. I felt sorry for the other people though who religiously fell in line. But the point is, the government people themselves should increase the quality of services they're giving to us, after all it's our taxes that are used to pay them for the hours they work for those offices.
