well i am very disappointed in the girls this year as far as i am concerned they can all leave. they picked the wrong ones i seen better in hollywood. further more the heavy set girl that sang with the sleeveless dress on should be emabaressed. that dress on her looked bad. i dont wanna hear about her being a single mother again. there are many single mothers out here that do an honest day work and dont try and get people to feel sorry for her and thats all she wants is a feel sorry for me vote. well thats what i think anyway. what do you think?

I really disagree with you. Keisha is the best singer out of everyone and until you are a single mother with her struggles you shouldn't have to speak on it. Yeah it is alot of single mothers out her but at the moment it is her time to shine and tell her story. The dress she had on that was her style so what. I mean dang everyone has their on style, so if you want to talk about something crazy then you need to talk about that crazy green dress that J. Lo brought out on stage now that was something worth talking about. And most of the single mothers out here doing honest days work are stretching to their limits. They wish they had more time for their children they are always tired and don't even have money to spare. I like her b/c she lets you know she is doing this for her Kids and that is her #1 priority. I put my thumbs up to her b/c its alot of big girls that are as you say embarrassed of theirselves which they shouldn't be b/c who says the only size is small that is beautiful. You don't know what people go through to get where they are at.

I didn't really agree with the heavy set ladies dress either but there is no doubt in my mind that she can sing!! There are only really three girls on this year that I like and that's her,the girl with the big curly hair and the punkish style chick with kinda short brown hair. (I'm not good with names, sorry). As for the guys, I really thought that the young (I think the youngest on the show) should've been going home last night (I forget his name too but his sister was originally on with him, he has longish hair and darker skin).

American Idol is a singing competition and Lakisha is a fantastic singer..in my opinion she is the best singer in the whole lot...and as for her dress, I thought she looked great...are you more concerned that she isn't stick thin and maybe doesn't fit the stereotypical "star" look of stage and screen? Her story is no different than anyone's..she has a life and goals...she just happens to be very dedicated to her child and the director/producer choose to present that part of her person...she has a job ...I don't think she is asking for any sympathy..I think she feels blessed to have the voice she has and the opportunity to use it to better herself and her daughter...and lastly...sorry to seem contrary..but as much as I'd like to see better singing from both sides...the boys have been terrible...to the point that I am questioning them even being on at this stage of the show!!!

I definately have to disagree with you. The boys overall sucked and this year, there are quite a few ladies who sing really well.

Ah.. which man doesn't like girls tell me... exceptions are there but very few. I am not an exception. Come on I am still 21 and yet to see a lot in my life. I am interested in them with small clothes or figure hugging clothes. Yes i do like them.
Almost forgot girls look sexy in SARIS (traditional clothing of India).

i like the girls better than the guys! also the single mom sure do have a good voice and i also agree that it's the production that might have been pushing with the "single mom" litany.
i just don't go with simon's words that the 23 candidates should pack their bags - it's too early to say that.
why are some of the girls sing like they don't belong there? i mean i expect really good singers - but i didn't see that, 5 for me outshone most of them 3 out of that 5 is really good.

I think everyone is entitled to their opinion. I agree with you that thus far this season is a bit disappointing. I have my favorites but it's tough dwindling them down. I think that the finale, will be down to two girls. The girls just seem to shine a little brighter than the boys this year.
I didn't care about the dress on her either, in fact, I didn't like the dress at all. Under all those lights, I'll bet it was a bit easier to stay cooled down without sleeves.
Being a single mother, well that's a tough job in itself never mind the honest day's work in raising a child. And alone! Kudos to her. I really think it has more to do with the editing of the show as to why we hear so much about her single mom status. I don't believe she is pushing it herself in an attempt to get the pity vote.
I will vote for her because she has got an awesome voice. This week's performance from her was awesome!

I actually liked the girls this year. Not too much the guys. Unlike the girls, only a few ot the guys stood out. Contrary to your opinion, the single mom was actually one of the best one's I've heard. I could listen to her singing that song over and over again. I didn't mind the 'single mom' drama and the dress because of the way she sang the song.

What do I think? I think you're wrong. She's the most talented of all of them, girls or boys. And she doesn't decide what to put on the show, the director and editors decide. If they want to push her single mom status, it's not her choice. And she does an "honest day's work." She works in a bank. That sounds pretty honest to me.
As for how she looked in her dress... She looked fine. Sure, there are prettier girls in Hollywood, but this isn't a beauty contest. It's a singing contest and Lakisha is a great singer.
All in all, though, I agree that there's a lot to be disappointed about this season, and especially among the boys. A lot of mediocrity there. Not a lot of talent. Maybe they'll get better in weeks to come.

I like Melinda Dolittle, remember Simon Cowell told her that she has no personality but full of talent, it is a good thing that she is still humble. I really ador her voice. Your talking about Lakisha Jones, oh she's very good too, but yeah, i am to through of the "please be feel so sorry for me", i don't have to feel pity , i want to be inspired.
