To flamboyant?

I have been dating a guy for a little while now and I really care about him. He's sweet and wonderfull, but pretty girly. I have always hated flamboyant guys, because I like guys not girls and if I wanted to date someone girly I would just date a girl. But he is differant. While he is seriousley flamboyant it does not bother me. Many of my friends, even some of my adult friends, have told me he is not right for me, or that he is "too gay". But I care about him. I guess I'm asking if you were in my position what would you do? I do not intend to leave him, but I am curiouse.
