I met a publisher in the local community. I ask him I want to be a writer, and what should I write. He said - Culture. That is a good topic. There is now a blending of culture. Chinese married to Filipinos, Filipinos married to German, Japanese, to Arab, to Indian. etc. etc. How does culture in a family of mixed marriage developed? It has a different recipe. I see a girl that look like an American, she speaks Tagalog and cannot speak English. I see a girl with a German father. She cannot speak German. The culture of one parent is lost.

Our world is shrinking that fast that a lot of cultural things of the past have and still are disappearing. Hopefully most countries will have places we can visit to see and understand cultures that have faded over the years. You should enjoy your research if you decide to write your book.

You can about intermarriage then. The dynamics of inheriting one or both of your parent's cultural values and the consequences of having such. I've read about Filipino-Americans who would want to know more about the Philippines while others who would not want to attach themselves to the Filipino culture in view of racial discrimination. One of the factors then would be racial discrimination. On how the global society view a particular culture either as dominant or recessive... although that doesn't follow that the latter is better than the other one-and really, there is no best culture.
