When I tell someone that I love them for me I am telling them that I will be there for them when they need me. That I will help them shoulder painful burdens when get to be to be too much and that I will forgive them when they hurt me.

I hardly say I love you to people around me, because I want to say it when I really mean it. For me, there is no point saying things out, but not actioning on it. It is much better to act on it, rather than just saying it. I love you for me symbolize my commitment to a person, it is not just a feeling, it is not just when I fall in love, but it is a choice, a commitment to others. So when I say I love you to my parents, that means I am commited to make them happy, I am commited to be a good daughter for them. When I say I love you to my brother that means I am commited to stand by him no matter what the situation are, it means I am commited to be a good sister to him, when I say I love you to my boyfriend, that means I am commited that he is my one and only boyfriend, that means I am commited to accept him as he is complete with his faults, that means I am commited to make the relationship works. I love you is a simple words with deep meanings. Unfortunately many people seems not to get this, and just throw it around, while you should say it full of meaning.
