Funny Cat Story

If I ever had any doubts that my two cats care about each other, this situation would have erased them (the doubts, not the cats).
One of my cats jumped down behind some plastic filing cases I had stacked up. They weren't quite flush with the wall, so she jumped down into the little space between the wall and the cases. The only problem was that she was really squeezed back in there, and didn't have enough room to get her feet solidly underneath her so she could jump back up.
Well, I didn't even notice, but I did notice my other cat, frantically clawing away at the rug on the other side of the filing cases, trying to dig her out! It was fortunate that I was home so I could get the cat from behind the filing cases before my other cat ruined my carpet.
I made sure that the cases were right against the wall after that.
But how nice to know I am living with a rescue kitty. Makes me feel safer.

Unlike your cats mine do not get along. Most days they "tolerate" each other and the closest they get to each other while still being able to be civil is when I am feeding them. In the first 6 months that they lived in the same house, they frequently got into fights (God forbid that one wanted to use the stairs at the same time as the other). They got into a scuffle and they bit each other on the tail. BOTH got abcesses in their tails and I had to take them to the vet. So for a while there we had two cats with shaved tails. They looked ridiculous. I wonder if one got into trouble like yours did, if the other would try to help or just sit there and laugh!

Ha ha ha! Yes, some cats just don't get along. Mine fight occasionally, but fortunately not often and nothing that required a vet visit! Mine are both females; I don't know if that matters or not. They do have mellow personalities whereas some cats don't. Thanks for your comment!
