I watched Dr Phil today and it was about Adoption Scams. He had a women on there who pretended to be pregnant and had all these women who wanted babies believing they were going to get this baby. Truth was she was NEVER pregnant. She only did it so that she herself would feel important to someone. Two of the women that she led to believe were getting this baby, she never took money from. She did it ONLY so she would feel important. So she did this only to hurt them, not for financial gain. One of them she accepted over $2000 from. When the women that she DID NOT take money from reported her to the police, they were told that they could NOT do anything about it because no money switched hands.. What the ??? Should there not be a law stating to protect people from this, regardless if money switched hands or not? I just think that there should be a law in place to keep this women from doing this over and over again. I think its sad that you can sue if money is involved, but not for the personal anguish. What do you think?

I to watched DR. PHIL and i was disgusted. I have given up a child and i seen how happy it made the family especially since they had tried everything to have a baby and nothing worked. I do not know how this woman lives with herself everyday and looks at herself in the mirror. Lying the way she did deceiving people for her own pleasure and not saying much about her. I would sue i dont care how stupid it sounds i would sue her butt. Lying the way she did because she wanted to feel cared about was just stupid any excuse not to look like a fool

I would just like to say that it is a VERY noble thing that you did by giving someone such a selfless gift. So many times women are knocked for giving up a baby, but I think that any women who gives another couple their only chance to be parents is very NOBLE. A child is a gift from god, and Im sure to one family you were their "god". I know its NOT an easy decision to make but it sure is admirable.

That is aweful! There are many things you can do to make yourself feel importaint, or bring up your self esteem. That is a terrible sick thing to do. I think they should be able to sue her. At least for emotional damages. Im sure those prospective parents were heartbroken over this.
