I have seen many people workout on economic front and prefer to use refilled carttidge for their printers and not the new one, everytime its exhausted. I prefer to use new always. How about you?

i actually can't use refilled cartridges. my printer uses a kind of cartridge that has a chip mounted on them. when it's emptied the chip is automaticaly burnt so it cannot be filled and used again. so i have to buy new cartridges every time they are depleted. but even if that was not the case i would still buy new ones cause they are guarenteed to be very good and i need that since my printer is at photo lab quality and i print photographies on it. it's true they are expensive but they are worth it.

i always go for new ones. i just donot approve of refilling at the cost of poor, smudgy print outs and the health of my printer. two are never the same. so even if it's an expensive affair i would never compromise with the quality. thanx

After using them both (the refill and buying a new catridge) I think it would be easier to buy new catrigde instead of the refill. So much easier you just have to plug it in. As for the refill, too much work, all though it's challenging work. lol You have to be very careful in doing the refill stuff. As per quality of the ink between refill and the new catridges; I don't see any different. They are both works fine.

I prefer to use new cartridges in my printer, and added to that they are geunine ones from the printer manufacturer. I know you end up paying more for them, but I believe that they do a lot of research and development into printer ink technology and therefore the longevity of the prints is higher. I always recylce my old print cartidges because the place I buy the new ones from sends a prepaid envelope and I'll get a credit for each cartridge that I recycle to use against the purchase of a new one.

I used to refill them myself, but with my HP printer, it does better with new. I do get the offbrand, though, I don't get the HP. It saves a couple of bucks.

I do agree, HP cartiridges are costly and sometime cost you moer than the cost of the printer itself

I think if you capabel to buy a new cartridge everytime you run out of ink, than it's ok, I'm my self right now using the continuous system so I never refill or buy a new cartrigde for my printer, I use it until it leak and broke my printer like my old one.

i use refilled cartridges, it working perfectly fine for me so i dont need a newer cartridge everytime, but i do agree that newer will be the best choice but my usage is not that professional to use a newer one.

Because I am such a clutz with many things, refilling would turn into a disaster, actually it was a disaster the times I tried it. So, I buy new ones now. I remember being laughed at when I went to the store, because I had ink all over my hands from trying to refill lol...it's not easy being me sometimes
