When your partner enter into an argument with you and you want to avoid it, how do you avoid entering and prolonging the arguments.

I've learned it out of some experiences that its better not to argue, (esp. with the other family members than husband). As u've asked how do you avoid entering and prolonging the arguments...
Everybody thinks I'm r right,n one is right from his part.Who will decide, who is wrong, argument starts...
I just say one word...yes u r right (...not simply, U r the only person who is right...). It breaks argument atleast for sometime.
Actually,I just can't carry arguments for long period.
I like everything to get solved by sharing views n mutual understandings.

when i get into an argument with my boyfriend, i always let him win the discussion..because i know that he can't take being a loser..so just to avoid it, i just let him think that he's always right..
though it hurts my feelings sometimes..i want the relationship more than the idea of winning an argument..

Thanks very much for wonderful response. I liked it and truely appreciate your idea - that you want the relationship more than the idea of winning an argument.

I would tell your partner that there is no need for arguing.Your both adults and should be able to sit down and discuss whatever the problem might be and work together to find a solution. Also both must be willing to listen to each others point of view without getting defensive.Communication is the key.
