try cleaning your floppy disk drive, this works most of the time. if this doesn't work sorry to say but you have to throw away your diskette

the hardware. try cleaning first your floppy disk drive. you can buy a floppy disk drive cleaner at any computer store. just follow the intructions on how to clean your floppy drive and hopes that cleaning will solve your problem. it happened to me before and to some of my friends i just tell to clean their floppy drive and it works, hope it works for you too

This is a problem that has been occurring at my job a lot with many of my students. You should always format the floppy disk before using it to prevent this from happening. Whenever I format the disk first then this problem has not occurred but if you use the disk right away without formatting it messes up like this. I have tried using a different computer to open files and that did not work. I think you probably will end up losing the files on your disk. Also you may want to use a flash drive instead of a floppy as it holds more info and have less problems with that.

I don't think there is anything you can do. Sounds like your disk has been corrupted and that is why every computer you try is stating that you need to reformat.

Better insert it in other computer. You can even scan it before opening it.

I can help you with that. Use this program, very few people know about this and only the REAL techies know it. It's pretty hard to find even on peer to peer sites. I use this on my floppies that can't be detected. If you want a copy just message me. :)
