Just wondering if anyone else has had problems, and how they were resolved.
I brought my son a buzz lightyear game on the 08/02/07 and paid straight away using paypal. However i contacted the seller monday to ask if she'd sent it yet, and she sent me a very short and to the point email saying yes i have. I mailed her back and asked when she'd sent it and did she keep the posting reciept because i hadn't recieved it, and she eventually replied yesterday morning and said she worked nights and would get back to me, but she hasn't.
What do i do now, i think i've been more then patient.

Well I'd say that she should have responded to you right away with a message like "yes it is sent, I posted it on xxx date.". I think that would have been a more appropriate answer. I hate it when sellers act like that...almost like it's a chore to serve you. Did you check her rating before you bought? What did others say about her? If you get the package in good condition I would still leave positive feedback but say something like great product not so good communication. Good luck! Hope you've gotten your item by now!

She is a fairly new seller, and only has a feedback of 2 but both are positive, so i thought why not and my son would've loved it.
She has got other items for sale at the moment, and i hate leavinf negative feedback, especially as i have a high 100% positive.

Well that is probably why! I would never buy from anyone with a rating of less than 10. And if they are selling I want to see some feedback from buyers that they delt with. I also don't want to see any negative and if they do have negative I want to see how they respond to it. A big plus to your discussion.

I have honestly learned it's best to get a tracking number when it comes to the things you purchase from e-bay. Though a lot of the sellers don't allow you to get a tracking number with the item you end up purchasing from them. But at least with a tracking number you can tell where the item is & so forth. I'd say that if this person isn't willing to respond to you.. Then you may want to start a dispute with e-bay. Hopefully by doing this it will allow you to have this situation resolved.
I think that's the only way this situation can be resolved because it sounds to me like.. You have tried communicating with this seller & they aren't responsive.. I just hope that this person does indeed end up sending you the item you had paid for.. Instead of saying they had or will when they don't end up doing so. It's always best to read the persons feedback but sometimes they can have good feedback or a good amount of positive reviews.. Yet you can still end up having problems with the seller even if they end up getting a lot of positive reviews it seems. At least this is what I have found with my personal experiences with sellers on e-bay.
I have been where you are.. I've had a lot of problems with several sellers on e-bay. I actually went through a similar experience where I had paid that day for the item I had purchased. And I had sent a message to the person stating how if they could inform me when they ended up sending it. And I never once received a message of them informing me that they had sent the item I had purchased. I tried like you to communicate with the seller but they we're unwilling to respond.. They actually ended up making a really silly excuse as to why they hadn't sent it yet. And how they would as soon as possible.
Get this it was a Christmas gift yet to boot.. So I wasn't impressed to have to deal with this as it was getting rather close to Christmas. It got to the point where two - three weeks later I hadn't received the item. What ended up happening was I got it close to Christmas just in time. When it was supposed to come two weeks before. I was just furious & would never purchase from that seller again due to this reason.. I also started a dispute & got some of my money back as well.. The seller actually ended up getting there account deleted or taken off due to so many bad reviews after customers going through similar situations such as mine. So I wasn't the only one in this situation either.
Other instances I've had we're when.. Someone ended up over-charging me for shipping & never even informed me of this.. They told me it was on there page of how much shipping was & it wasn't even on the page either. I contacted them before for a shipping cost & they told me.. And it was much less then what I was charged. This was another Christmas gift as well. I was just furious.
Another incident I had is when I purchased a hoodie for my dog because it's winter time here.. And they help to keep her warm.. Well I asked if the size didn't fit.. If I could return it if this was to happen.. And the person said yes.. And then when I received it I measured her exactly.. And the measurements on the persons page was supposed to be exact.. When I got it the hoodie was to small on her.. So I contacted the seller & told them this..
And they wrote me back saying "final sale." Yet before.. They we're telling me that I could return it if it did indeed end up being to small.. Well they wouldn't allow me to do so.. So I felt lied to so ended up having to start a dispute against this person.. I'm actually going through this right now..
In conclusion.. I know how you feel as I have gone through past experiences such as the one you are going through.. The only advice I can truly give you is to start a dispute or contact e-bay & inform them of what is going on. I hope you do indeed end up getting that buzz light year game for your son.. I hope it comes soon & that this seller doesn't try to screw you over..
And I hope e-bay will help you out if this is indeed the case.. I know how you feel so you are not alone.. It seems there are a lot of bad sellers sometimes on that site who will rip people off.. Your not alone.. Try to look for sellers that have more feedback scores than others.. Try to go for people who had feedback scores over 30 - 100.. Compared to people who are just new users.. You have to be cautious either way with any seller, but some new users you have to be extremely cautious of as well! . .
I wish you all the best of luck with this situation! . .
Thanks for allowing me to share! xx

Well as for confirmation numbers ,they don't always work especially the ones that are done by PayPal. The post office almost never scans them and I have heard a conversation between an eBay seller and a post worker. She said that the post office usually doesn't scan the bar codes because the postages doesn't come direct from the post office. Therefore I don't think they scan them. I agree, look for people with good feedback and look through their comments. I have only had one bad seller (if you call it that). I bought a VCD, but it was a copy on CD-R which was not said on the auction so I left negative feedback. Other sellers are the bomb and have a nice day.

Thanks for that, i'm definatelt not going to buy from a low rating seller again, i'm also a bit frightened of leaving negative feedback because mine is 200+ positive and i think she will do the same to me. Ebay sucks sometimes, but i'm going to let her get away with it though. I dont think theres much chance of me getting the game now but i'd be happy to get my money back.

Yes I have. Won books for .99 plus shipping, paid the seller and took about 1 month before I got feedback. They kept saying they sent the book but nothing and they just refunded the total amount paid. I think they just didn't want to let the books go for the minimum .99 bid.

I filed a claim last week so hopefully i'll get my money back, am really annoyed though, i don't understand why you would continuely promise to send something if you know that you haven't.

I have dealt with sellers like this too many times. If they are unwilling to give you a straightforward, honest answer, I would file a complaint with Ebay. You can file an "item not recieved" complaint with both Ebay and Paypaland that forces the seller to provide proof of shipment. If they do not provide proof, you can possibly get a refund. Even if they did in fact ship it, I'm sure this will get the seller to wake up and smell the coffee.

we have had some problems with ebay, personally i think ebay sucks, but my missus loves it, a lot of the chinese sellers are scammers, if you don't get your stuff, you end up with something you didn't order, some ore ok, but the ratings don't mean much, we put a bid on an ipod, it started at 99c, we won the bid for $80, but the buyer wouldn't sell it to us for that, because it wasn't what he wanted for it, there was no reserve price to start with, we put a dispute into ebay about it, and because he was a power seller, he was in his rights to do that, ebay is only interested in the money they make, take it to paypal, they seem more reasonable, you should have got a better response from the seller, working nights is a lot of crap, i do 2 weeks at sea and am stuffed when i get home, but i still manage to reply to my emails, ebay and some of the sellers on it need to be questioned more, if a local business done that sort of thing, there are organisations to take your complaint and get a decent resolution, after all, ebay is a business it should have to follow the same rules as any business

I just got an ebay purchase problem resolved last night as a matter of fact. lol Completely by chance too. Last March I won 3 auctions from the same seller. While there was good communication right after the sale, there were issues left unresolved. By the time the seller had quit responding to my emails, I had already exceeded the time limit on sending feedback or even being able to view the auction listing. I had to assume it was just money lost. It was only a $7 purchase so I put it on my lessons learned list and quit worrying about it. Then last night, my messenger poped up saying that my seller was logged in. I quickly sent an IM asking if he still ran the sites a,b & c. When he responded yes, I asked him about the auction item and reminded him of our previous contacts. He immediately rectified the oversite and doubled my order immediately for any inconvenience. I sure am glad I kept all my info.
In a better transaction, just after christmas, I had a very fast shipper that sent the order out right away but it still took almost 2 weeks. I checked the postmark. lol
I suggest being patient a little longer, keep all your communications on the transaction and if you haven't received it after 30 days from purchase, get ebay involved. Best of Luck.

Since you only purchased this item on the 8th I would say that you should wait just a little longer for your item. I do however think that she should of taken a little more time to answer your questions or at least let you know when and how she was or did send your item. If she does not have time to ship items because she works nights then she should probably not list them for sale. I know that I won a few items on the 10th and have not recieved them yet so I am sure that our stuff is on its way.

I had a problem with a seller on Ebay. I bought 30 Atkins Advantage bars from a seller. I had made a bid, and although it was less than she'd wanted to sell the bars for, she eventually agreed to give them to me for that price. I promptly paid for the bars through Paypal. She let me choose which flavors I wanted, which I thought was great, but every time she'd email me back, she kept saying something about only 18 bars. Sure enough, about a week or so later, I only got 18 bars in the mail. I emailed her about it, and she sent me back an email that was just full of lies. I called her on it, and she sent another one about how she was losing money on the bars since she agreed to sell them for such a low price. I told her that wasn't my problem, that I'd paid for 30 bars and that's what I should get. She finally sent the remainder to me. I gave her a negative review on the website based on my experiences, and I got a really b*tchy email from her about how I sullied her reputation as a seller with the negative review. I replied and said that if she hadn't lied and argued with me and taken so long to send the bars out, there wouldn't have been a problem. It was a negative experience for me and made me really not want to buy from Ebay anytime soon.
I'm sorry that you've had a bad experience as well. You might have to contact Ebay and report the seller.

Thanks for that, i've sent her one more email, and if she doesn't reply to that then i'm definately going to reply. If she hasn't sent it yet i really wouldn't mind as i know some people have really hectic lives. My post is always really good as well, i brought 2 other items after this transaction and they both arrived fine.

You should file a complaint through ebay if they find she is wrong they will get remove her ebay acount. you should also file a complaint through paypal they will get you money refunded. I was contacted by someone wishing to sell software I was hesitant but agreed when she said I could pay her through paypal. She then requested I pay more than quoted because she was offered more from someone else. I told her to sell it to them I would buy mine elsewhere. Well she sold it to me but when she shipped it she forgot part of the code I tried repeatedly to contact her with no results the day I filed a complaint through paypal I heard from her ready to solve the problem. Which she never really did just sent an updated copy from her system that din't work but through some research I was able to make it work. You need to file these complaints NOW as time is important. Start with paypal then do ebay as they will return your money ebay only has like 14 days that you can file though. paypal will fix it but you need to get her off ebay before she does this to someone else. By the way the woman who sold me the faulty software was mad because I filed a complaint so be ready for that but don't back down.

I buy and sell on EBAY, and have never had a problem. So, don't assume that everyone on EBAY is a scammer and trying to get away with something. Email the seller one more time, and tell her that you haven't received your item yet. If she doesn't respond, or is not willing to refund your money, start the EBAY dispute process. Here is the link that tells you how to do that.
http://pages.ebay.ca/help/tp/inr-snad-process.html
Good Luck, and don't let it sour you on EBAY. The vast majority of sellers there will go way out of their way to make sure you're happy.

I think it would be very rude to say that ebay is encouraging chaeaters on its selling site. But then it is abolutely true. I have ordered for a set of coins and I have almost paid doubles the amount to which includes shipping and Draft cahrges and despathched the draft immidiately by Courior. Till the date I have not received the consignment. Other day I have seen one e mail stating the the courier people were unable to locate my address and thats the reason they want new address! Does this make any sense? How can I have different address ? Well at this address my all other mails including Courier packages are being supplied to me on regular basis!
Next incidence is I have successfully made a bid for Topaz and asked for Lab testing report for the stone! In reply they said that the stone was tested as Yellow Topaz, which was nothing more than a quartz and they feel sorry about it and inspite of all this they were asking for amount almost equal to my bidding amountfor providing this certificate! They are taking granted that people are fools to pay such anhuge amount for a piece of quartz!
There two incidences made me sick and believe me there after I never even open that site! I feel as if I have been chaeated and I blame ebay also responsible for these two unpleasant incidents! All the best for your Successful deal !

Thank for raising the question. I didn't buy anything through ebay before. A day ago I was considering to purchase something through its service. Now I see the situation you got into, and the answers posted, I think I should reconsider the decision.

All I can say is if you buy on Ebay be careful...I have encountered alot of people who do scam and don't sent the item or reply after you have sent your money. Also I would advise you to use Paypal only there...Paypal will get your money back for you if you get scammed. :)

Yes I did and it was a pain in the neck. Classes had started and I was looking for cheap books. One of my classmate told me that I can look through the internet and all you need is an ISBN number. I found one in the internet that I needed for my Biology class and ordered it. Days pass by and still no sign of package at my doorstep. I check the tracking and says the shipping would be 10-13 days so I waited until the last day. It reached the final day and still no sign of my order. So I cancelled the order, ask for a refund and wrote the nastiest response that he deserve. The reason that I waited is to save money for the book instead, it cost me a bigger price for buying a new book, which eventually I didn't use the book that much. Well on your concern I suggest that you demand for a refund and give her a negative rating. You've been too nice to her by waiting for so long. If only she could pay you more for the damage and for not following the agreement of shipping the product that would be better.
