I learned way back in high school, though I already forgotten some of it, I know I can still read and right some. Plus, I do still have my book and manual of it!;) So do anybody here still practice writing in shorthand? I'm just a bit curious..

No, I never learned shorthand, I was never required to do so.. I guess it's too late to learn it now as it's already out of date :)

LoL It's quite interesting if you're introduced to it, but it's also a mind-blowing thing to learn. I didn't pay quite an attention to it during my school days, but I'm also proud that I did learn some of it!;)

I took shorthand in high school as well, and I've forgotten most of it. I've actually made up my own shorthand that only I know and can decipher which helped in meetings and staffings while working as a social worker. It kinda helped with the confidentiality thing, too.

I really find it unique when somebody who has knowledge in writing in shorthand do make their own words, a very intelligent approach in keeping things as confidential as possible. I remembered that we also tried to use it on our own language(filipino) with me and my classmates laughing to the words that we create by it!;)

I am trying to find sites that will let me transcribe books into shorthand. I saw an edition of Alice in Wonderland totally written in Gregg Shorthand. Do you know of any sites that do this?
