lip rings!

So today's the big day, I get my lip ring! The place I'm going to is gonna get me the lip ring AND the piercing for $35.00 at most.
I'm scared to death of needles, but I'm not all that nervous today, so I think I'll be fine. I've had a week to get it settled in my head, and I want this real bad lol. I think maybe this'll help my fear of needles?
We shall see.
Anyone on MyLot that's had a lip ring or has one, how much did you swell up? Did you have to eat different food for a few days? I don't have a clue what I'm getting myself into obviously lol.
Hurray for mouthwash three times a day!

side lip? or lebret?? i have my lip done 2 times on the side, i was actually going to do another yesterday, but i didnt. it hurt like hell for me. probably my worst piercing. i think its because normaly when you get something pierced you have the pain of the needle, but then it goes away, but with a lip it doesnt go away!! neither of mine really swelled. you will learn to eat on one side of your mouth for a while! dont kiss, or make out! omg i made that mistake like a month after i got my first one done, and MY GOD i almost had to take it out it swelled really bad. i didnt really use mouth wash as much as they told me to. if it started to hurt i used salt water, that heals it better then mouth wash

Side lip is where i got the bugger. It didn't hurt like I thought, it was more of a hard pinching sensation :P
It's somewhat swelled, but of course thats gonna happen when you keep moving it around every few hours to make sure it doesnt stick... and i've been keeping it clean like madd crazy.
LOL thanks for the tip on kissing and making out lol... Yeah i've been learning to eat on the right side of my mouth, and with all my frustrations, been eating a bit less lol. I'm gonna catch on though. I use mouthwash all the time. I

hah yeah i made the big mistake to make out.. oh dear it was bad! lol i think i ate less too! i was stupid and got my first one just before i was starting band class again, and i played clarinet.. my instructor had no sympathy lol
