What is a problem for me. I believe it is due to the fact that Hubby is always leaving out the "h" in the word and I have been correcting him for so long that I have taken up his habit! For other words I use a dictionary to check out the correct spelling. I am a spelling freak. : )

I'm not very good at typing. I have been typing for years and I still can't type. My children laugh at me because they can type like nobody's business. My Mom types like nobody's business too! I think the typing gene skipped a generation. LOL
I always mess up on the word Internet. According to all the spell checkers it is supposed to be capitalized. I got that part down pat, now if I can only remember to put the "e" in the word. I always put Internt.
Oh yeah, that reminds me of reccommends and remebers. LOL
recommend and remembers.

Oh, it's almost every word for me. It's not that I can't spell them, but my fingers just keep hitting the wrong keys. It is not actually typo errors, I think my brain is sending the wrong signals to my fingers. Sometimes I even type the word backwards or I get the spellings correct and all the letters are jumbled up. If only you knew how many times that I have had to correct typo errors in this one response! Lol.

I am always typing the word discussion wrong. Their I did it again. You think I would know it by now. I love that they have spell check here except that I do not always catch it. I really wish there was a way to go back and correct mistakes on this site after you post things.

What a delightful question! As you can see by my MyLot name I am a kitchen witch; but I can never spell witch correctly and when I say never, I mean never - I have to go back and redo it every single time. Single is another one - I always spell it snigle, as for witch, it comes out withc. I know that there are more of them that I can't do correctly but these are the main two that I use frequently and wish there was a key that just had those words on it.
Wow! Can you imagine! A keyboard with nothing but words! Let's see how many of us can get together (togehter is another one!) and figure out how to invent that keyboard~Donna (thanks for the friends request!)

To be honest I am not good at spelling. Many time I get confused with using "e" and "i" and also many time it happens that I make mistake at typing words though I know the spelling. It happens a lot that when I am typing sometime some key I press before, that's what make the spelling wrong. Like the word "tea" may be I will type as "tae". This happens with me lots of time.

there are words which i would type wrongly but i can spell them correctly. and there are some words which i most often spell wrongly. before spelling or typing these words i have to think twice or thrice each time! some examples are: receipt, business, relieve, necessary, retrieve etc..

Well here is my 2 cents for whats it work. I use Foxfire with its auto spell checker so that my posts on any site are corrected for me. Lazy trick #1. Also I will flub up its and tis but if you check them in context almost always both words fit so I am lucky. The populations ability to spell went threw the floor due to two conditions of technology. 1)We got spell checkers, (note: this doesn't help with hair and hare) 2)The whole world started "texting" This is one of the surest and quickest way to destroy your ability to spell anything correctly. I try very hard not to text in chat or in discussions on forums it doesn't always work. I also like to forget my apostrophe in my contractions which ends up lighting up my spell checker like the 4th of July. I have taken to using some of my old books from 3rd grade penmanship to teach myself how to write as well as how to spell. It may seem extremely childish but most of our skills for writing and spelling has fallen that far behind due to technology. This is not a technology bashing piece. This is just a few thoughts on what we really have to work on to keep a piece of our selves unfettered by technology and reminds us that we need to step away from the High tech and get back in touch with the Human side of ourselves. Sometimes I really do worry that for all intense and purposes we are going to end up raising a High tech generation who are basically illiterate with thier but I guess thats another topic for discussion and I think I am just use part of this response and do a spin off If lifeiseasy doesn't mind. Huggles to everyone.

I've always been a pretty good speller, so usually when I make typos it's not because I don't know how to spell the word, it's just that I can't type it. That said, I also type pretty fast so many times I do have to go back through and correct a few words over and over again.
To me, the worst ones are the (teh) and then (tehn). I'm not sure why my fingers won't type the th together, but for whatever reason they won't.
I also have a major problem with receive. And any other word that has cei all together in it.

I ways type everything wrong. I'm glad that firefox have a spellcheck. Because of that you can understand the things that I write(or not...).
This small text was already 5 typos... let me correct them :).
One that I usually do is which (that I always type as wich).

Truly -- always comes out with an "e" in there and then I have to go back and fix it...
Recommend -- often typed as reccomend. I know how to spell this word, I apparently just can't type it!
Caribbean -- I have to stop and think about the spelling of this one whether I'm writing or typing (for some reason it always looks like it needs another r)

The more I type, the more my list get longer. There are some words I have trouble remembering, like is it prefer or perfer? And lately I have been spelling because..becuase. There are dozens more and I and constantly looking up words for spelling. Part of the problem might be when I am trying to type faster. I am not a natural typist. I am always messing up with there and their. I know the difference, but when I am not paying attention, I mix them up. To and too is also giving me trouble.
I learned all this over 40 years ago and am much out of practice using words everyday. At least typing them.

I definitely have some words that my fingers want to type wrong most of the time, as well. One in particular that I have major trouble with for some reason, is the word 'commercial'. I almost always want to type 'commercial' with the 'c' and the 'i' in the wrong places, for some reason, unless I watch what I'm typing really carefully. The one that you were talking about, 'friend', is also an easy mistake to make. I also find myself typing brian instead of brain sometimes, but of course that used to happen to me more often when I had someone named Brian around who I was writing about fairly often, lol.

i can never seem to get the word vacuum out right...is it a double c or a double uu, i can never seem to get it. another word that gives me a head ache is opportunity...i can never seem to remember if its an u or an o. so i usually use the word chance instead!! lol but whenever i'm not sure about how the words are supposed to be typed, i just write them down in the different possible ways i feel that they might be spelled in. then i read them over and if it doesnt 'feel' right, i eliminate it...and it works more often than not. i dunno why, but this technique has always bailed me out many number of times.
